Registration
You will need to upload scanned copies of your Bachelor’s degree certificate or provisional certificate, 10+2 certificate or mark sheet, passport size photograph, and signature.
The application fee for NIMCET is INR 2500 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and INR 1250 for SC/ST candidates.

Syllabus

Exam
The NIMCET exam is generally held in May or June. The exact date of the exam is announced on the NIMCET website.
The NIMCET exam is a computer-based test (CBT) of 2.5 hours duration. It consists of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) with four choices for each question.
Each correctly answered question carries FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question invites NEGATIVE ONE mark.
There is no passing score for the NIMCET exam. Admission to MCA programs in NITs is based on the rank obtained in NIMCET.
Result
The NIMCET result is generally declared within 3-4 weeks of the exam date. The exact date of the result declaration is announced on the NIMCET website.
You can check your NIMCET result on the NIMCET website (https://nimcet.admissions.nic.in/). To check your result, you will need to enter your roll number and registration number.
Once you have checked your NIMCET result, you need to wait for the counseling process to start. The counseling process is generally conducted in June or July. During the counseling process, you will be allotted a seat in an MCA program at one of the NITs based on your rank and preferences.
